There&#039;s people you know (friends, contacts), and people you don&#039;t know (friends of friends, contacts of contacts). You&#039;re talking to a friend, and he&#039;s talking/replying to you, but as soon as this friend is talking/replying to one of his friend you don&#039;t know yet, even if it&#039;s a continuation of the same conversation, on the same subject, he just becomes invisible to you, and you&#039;re not able to hear what he&#039;s saying anymore... until he talks to you again ! This is nuts !<br /> <br /> Being able (or at least having the choice !) to see @replies of people I know (follow) to people I don&#039;t know (don't follow), is a very social and efficient way to be introduced to new people/friends/contacts. Again, it&#039;s the same in real life. When a friend is talking to someone I don&#039;t know, I&#039;m able to hear it, and if I find their conversation interesting, funny or whatever, I might start a conversation with this friend&#039;s friend.
